"Big brother," a voice raised, delicate as a dew on a petal, "what is it that you call me, from now on?"
The younger of the two was pressing his cheeks against the thick fur that lined the older's leather vest. A tender hand stroked the child's silver hair.
"I call you Iceland."
Silence embraced them wholly but for the firewood's cackling. A small hand emerged from the drooping white fabric and found its way to intertwine with the older brother's. Their size did not match, but the warmth did.
"Why not Snowland, like before?", the childish voice questioned, and for a second, the older boy seemed not able to answer. Then a silent, low chuckle resounded, and the child looked up, bewildered.

NighttimeLukas was settled quite happily on the couch, ankles crossed, book in hand. It was dark out, Emil in bed, and Matthias outside cleaning off his ax. The thing wasn't allowed in the house- per order of Norway- when it was filthy, and Matthias was too stubborn to wait another day. Sure, he could have waited, but that wasn't how he did things- so it was dinner (stew) then right outside to care for the weapons, light or lack thereof be damned. Not that Lukas minded, but sometimes their current setup felt like a convoluted game of house- mommy watching the baby while daddy went out and hunted (or whatever it was Matthias did).
